Description:

"The New York Times bestseller, soon to be a major motion picture; US release on June 3, 2016.

They had nothing in common until love gave them everything to lose . . .

Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has barely been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex–Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

A Love Story for this generation and perfect for fans of John Green’s The Fault in Our StarsMe Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common—a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?"

Review:

This book is so heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time.

This is not your typical love story, it is so much more than that. It'll drag you through a flurry of emotions and leave you wanting so much more. This book made me question myself on how I would handle the situation of putting my significant others' happiness over my own. This book had both realistic characters and realistic scenarios. At first glance, when you look at the characters you would think they are your stereotypical one-dimensional personas every author uses these days but, as you read on you see that the characters are deeper than what meets the eye.

This book is honestly very dark when you look at it as a whole but, it makes you understand a perspective that not many people think or know about. I don't want to spoil anything in this book for you guys but let me just say, the author covers a sensitive subject that is illegal in some states and even a few countries. So if you are easily broken-hearted or become overly attached to characters, pace yourself in this book.

If I were to compare this book to any other books I would say it is a little less sad than The Fault in our Stars By John Green and as equally as frustrating as the ending of Allegiant by Veronica Roth.

Happy Reading!
