The End?

Hey Clickers,

Happy New Year!

So, I've been doing some thinking..

I'm not sure if this blog should be an active blog anymore.

I know you're screaming "Well it's not like you were very consistent in the first place!" and that is very fair. I let life get in the way of what I wanted to do. That's my fault.

Last year, I had so many plans for this blog and different reviews I had started but never finished. I feel like I wasted my time and your time. I think for the future I will not continue posting here infrequently. I'll only post once a year. Just recapping my year and showing how I've either grown or regressed. I should be able to manage that for now.

Coming to this conclusion was difficult for me. This is the blog I first started with, where I found my voice on the internet. Hopefully, I can get it back to how it used to be.

I'll see you in a year!

New Endeavors and a Truthful Talk

Hey Clickers!,

I recently started a new job that has taken me away from my passion for writing and my podcast. Sad, yet ya girl needs her money. I am making this post now to let you guys know that once I get into the steady pace of this, everything will be running like a fine tuned machine again.

Since this is my personal blog, I think its fair that I can talk about my life with you guys. Whether or not you judge for me for who I am is up to you.

I will say what I always say in my podcast, I am not always right, I don't know everything and I may say things that you don't agree with and that's okay. I'm not some life guru, I'm a fairly average 21 year old who likes to entertain people by talking about the nonsense that goes on in her life.

As of late, my life has been all over the place. I was in a sort of limbo. I wasn't quite drowning, but I wasn't swimming either. I was... lost. It felt like nothing was going the way I needed it to go. I felt like I was disappointing so many people who mattered to me, including myself. I couldn't seem to find what I truly wanted to do, nothing seemed right. I found that I was sleeping more often, going out less, like the opposite of those girls Drake talks about in his songs. I think I just had a year long episode of being apathetic. I had lost my stride.

So, what changed? I'm really not sure. I still have my doubts about my choices and where I'm going but, I've gotten to a point where I can't worry about that anymore. I just have to keep going until I reach my goals. Also, I talked to my friends about how I was feeling. No, it's not weak to talk about your insecurities with people that you trust. It's healthy and necessary for this society to function properly.

For those of you who are reading this right now and feel alone or like you just can't go on, talking to someone really can help alleviate some of the pain and pressure you feel.

And that's how I wound up with this new job and, quite possibly, a new (short-term and unreliable) love interest. That, is an interesting story that I don't think is quite finished yet. I give it a couple more weeks before the flame burns out and we go our separate ways. Don't get me wrong, he's a lovely person with an outstanding personality and goals but, he doesn't know what he wants. Well, let me rephrase that, he knows what he wants and it's not what I'm looking for. Even though I am "young" I don't want to waste my time. All I want is consistency. If I have to consistently be alone for awhile then, so be it. If anything exciting happens with it, I'll keep you updated.

I want to keep my job private from the internet so there is not much to talk about there, so I'll end this post here.

You'll hear from me soon guys!

I Know What You're Thinkin....

This girl again?!...

Hey Clickers,

You know, no matter how many times I fall off the wagon, I will always come back to you guys.

I do have a confession to make..

The reason I haven't been posting on here is because...

I've been cheating on you with the Daily Relaxer Blog.

I know I know, I am the worst kind of person for not keeping you guys updated with my life. I made a decision to start up a podcast with the other blog as the sole contributor to it. The podcast (if you guys were wondering) is called Get Through The Day With Jae. It can be found on SoundCloud, Spotify and Podbean under that name! Its about politics and my life as seen through my filtered gaze. I only have 2 episodes up but hey, it's a start.

I won't lie, this has been difficult. Recording myself speak and having to hear myself is not easy. I have a bad case of perfectionism and I have a hard time putting out content if my voice sounds weird. I was/am sick  and I haven't been able to put a podcast these last two weeks. I'm supposed to post every Sunday. I'm working on it.

Anyways.

I wanted to let you guys know that I will continue to use this blog as a personal blog and not a business blog. For the most part there should be no shameless plugs or talk about the podcast in every post. I want to start uploading once a week and see how it goes from there.

Stay tuned for more good stuff. See ya next week!

Sink or Swim....

Hey Clickers,

I've been caught in a position where I am (once again) unsure what to do. Things are changing in my life and I'm not sure where I should go from here. It's one of those things where I either go with my heart or go with my brain. I have a problem with not knowing what the future holds for me.

Of course, no one truly KNOWS what will happen to them in the future if they make a certain decision but, they at least have an idea.

I, on the other hand, know nothing. I don't know what will happen if I decide to take a chance.

I've decided that I have two decisions. I can either sink or swim. Whatever choice I make I need to stick with it and see it to the end.

Let's just hope that I make the right decision.

Wish me Luck Guys

New Things To Come

Hey Clickers,

I know it's been awhile but, I want to come back swinging. I've started recording videos and I want to continue doing it. I want to do something different and fun. I feel like I want to share my stories and opinions with the world and see what they give back.

I've started out with a makeup video inspired by Avengers Infinity War.

You can click here to check it out.

If you like it please leave a comment. Even if you, don't like it don't be afraid to leave some criticism about what I could be doing better. I'll appreciate it either way.

You'll be hearing from me real soon guys.

Amazing Tattoo Experience

Hey Guys!

I decided to do something a little different to start off summer vacation.

I got a tattoo!

This was something I was planning on doing for my birthday in September but, there was an interesting change to my plans... My mother wanted to go with me and get one as well!

Over the past two years, I had been mentioning/telling my mother that I wanted a tattoo and that I was going to get one for my 20th birthday. She would say that if I was going to get one then it would need to be something unique and meaningful. Nothing "trendy" or in the moment.

This really helped me pick out the design I wanted on my skin forever. I researched different symbols and designs and their meanings.

To make a long drawn out story short, my talking about wanting to get a tattoo made my mother realize that she actually wanted one too. She decided that once I moved back home we would get one together.*

My mother got a crown on her left wrist. She considers herself royalty. It looked like this:

This is NOT her arm by the way.

I, on the other hand, got a symbol that meant "under control". I placed it on my left forearm. To me, it meant that I would be the one in control of what happens in my life. It looked like this:
Under Control

We went to the shop Golden Rule Tattoo, we found that they would do our tattoos for a very reasonable price and the atmosphere was super friendly, relaxed but professional. You can click on their name and check them out! They really made my first tattoo experience super enjoyable and gave great instructions on caring for the tattoo afterward.

The healing process took about 2 weeks but, it was easy and low maintenance. Just washing off the tattoo with dial soap (the pump not the bar) and applying non-scented lotion to the tattoo everyday.

Here are the finished products:

This one is mine

And this my mother's

So far we've had our tattoos for about 3 months and we love the results!

Side note****
My mother and I do basically everything together.

Hope you guys enjoyed this experience!!

Review:
Onward with the Apple product reviews!!

Image result for Apple watch series 1

I purchased the 38mm Apple Watch Series 1 in Space Gray Aluminum with the black sport band.

Let's start out with the packaging. The product came in a long white rectangular box that was aesthetically pleasing and protective of the product. The product came with a small/medium size band, a medium/large band, a magnetic charging cable, a USB power adapter, and a brief instruction manual.  The instructions were short and to the point. It was extremely easy to set up.

I've had this watch for awhile and I can say that it was worth the money. It is easy to use discreetly, I can check and respond to text messages, and check all of my notifications without having to pick up my phone. It has a silent mode so your notifications will only buzz if you are in class or a meeting. You can track workout sessions and your heart rate. In comparison to my old Fitbit Charge HR, the heart rate tracking and the workout tracking were very similar. If you have notifications for certain people on Instagram, the watch will let you like photo they post. You know what is the best part?? It can tell time. Crazy right? The Apple Watch has this feature!

Anyways.

Of course, there were some cons to the this product. For instance, I do not use this to track my sleep. I have found that it does not quite track it accurately. I would rather use the Fitbit to get a realistic read on my sleeping patterns. Also this product is not waterproof. I was strongly warned that it should sustain no water contact other than light rain. Apple has fixed the water problem by coming out with the Apple Watch series 2, which is waterproof and has a bunch of other cool features but, that's not I'm reviewing.  The battery life was another minor issue for me. It lasts about a day and a half if you use it frequently. This is an easy fix for me since I charge it while I sleep. Strangely, It does not take long to get it to full power.

Overall, this product is a solid 8/10
It's not perfect but, I find it to be a step in the right direction for Apple. I was (and still am) happy with what I bought.

Rating system (1-10) 1= horrible/ bad/ no 10= heck ya!

Durability: 9 (it is not waterproof but it can be made waterproof)

Ease of Use: 9

Battery life: 8

Worth the Money: 9
