Description:
Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?
Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What’s troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper’s gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunk mates insist they are all—including Leo—related to a god.
Review:
To start off, I am a big fan of Riordan's work. So when I received this book I was excited and I instantly sat down and started to read. As I read this book I was slowly engulfed in all the emotion and drama that was going on in the book. I could relate to how the characters felt in certain situations. The author has a unique way of writing. He is able to tell the story from each characters point of view. This made it easier to get to know the characters better. The plot and theme were both very well thought out. I loved the humor, action and romance in this book. It was very easy to follow along in this book. I would recommend this to any young adult who is interesting in reading action, romance, humor and Greek and Roman gods.
Rating: 1 blue moon being bad and 5 blue moons being great.
