"A strange and charming collection of hilariously absurd poetry, writing, and illustration from one of today's most popular young comedians...

EGGHEAD: Or, You Can't Survive on Ideas Alone

Bo Burnham was a precocious teenager living in his parents' attic when he started posting material on YouTube. 100 million people viewed those videos, turning Bo into an online sensation with a huge and dedicated following. Bo taped his first of two Comedy Central specials four days after his 18th birthday, making him the youngest to do so in the channel's history. Now Bo is a rising star in the comedy world, revered for his utterly original and intelligent voice. And, he can SIIIIIIIIING!

In EGGHEAD, Bo brings his brand of brainy, emotional comedy to the page in the form of off-kilter poems, thoughts, and more. Teaming up with his longtime friend, artist, and illustrator Chance Bone, Bo takes on everything from death to farts in this weird book that will make you think, laugh and think, "why did I just laugh?" Review:

I will be honest with you guys and say that my review of this book is totally biased. I love Bo Burnham's work as a comedian, writer, and actor. When I found out that he had written a book I bought it and instantly fell in love with the poems. Please be aware that if you purchase this book, there is material that is unsuitable for children throughout the book.

Egghead is a poetry book that takes you through so many emotions but is still able to leave you laughing.
Throughout this book, there were a plethora of hilarious poems. Most of them were crass but, when you kept reading you would find the ones that talked of love as if the author had found the girl of his dreams. On the other hand, you found poems that were haunting and brutal. Poems that would make you rethink your view on love, life, and death. I loved the endless wit embedded in each poem. This book was like a forest that you could get lost in for hours. There were so many poems to analyze for a deeper meaning or read for pure enjoyment. The poems had great form, they were carefully written and craftily structured. This book was very visual, both with the illustrations and the poems. The creativity in this book was infectious. It will make you forget about the days in middle school and high school where you had to painfully write 10 stanzas of poetry and want to write out sonnets dedicated to old teachers and funny memories. My favorite poem within the book is called "Perfect", it's sweet and simple. Since I don't want to ruin it for you, I'm not going to tell you guys what it's about, I want you read the book and see just how amazing it really is.
I recommend this book for people who enjoy poetry, comedy, love and abstract thoughts. I also would say it is for the 17 and up crowd.

Galentines Day

Afternoon Clickers,

Happy Galentine day!!!

If you are unaware of this special day and what it is, here, let me educate you.

Galentines Day comes from the show Parks and Recreation. The main character, Leslie Knope, made February 13th Galentines day, a day to appreciate your lady friends. It doesn't matter if you're single or not, it's just ladies celebrating ladies. And hey, why leave it at just ladies celebrating ladies? Bros should do the same. There's no shame in telling your friend you appreciate them!

Now that you know about this wonderful day, go and celebrate with your friends!!

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Beatrice must choose between staying with her Abnegation family and transferring factions. Her choice will shock her community and herself. But the newly christened Tris also has a secret, one she's determined to keep hidden, because in this world, what makes you different makes you dangerous."

Review:

I promised years ago that I would do this review... better late than never!
To start off, this dystopian themed universe has become common now and days. It seems like authors threw out vampires and werewolves and tossed in messed up post-apocalyptic universes.
Despite the overuse of the theme, it was a great read that kept you interested in both the romance, action, and suspense. Most of the characters were well rounded and were not too predictable. It had a nice balance of balance and romance. The main character Tris seemed like a suitable role-model for the younger readers. Her bravery and loyalty are some things everyone can admire. If I had to give a rough description of Tris I would say she has more common sense than Bella Swan and more decisive than Katniss Everdeen.
I liked the universe that Veronica Roth created. I noticed there were some undertones of Scientology in the book but, most people don't see it and it's what makes the book interesting, so I choose to ignore that fact. ( Don't know what scientology is? click here for a definition) I think she really was creative with the different factions.( Abnegation, Dauntless, Erudite, Candor, and Amity)  It gave the readers something to obsess over in the book.
"What faction do you think I should be in?"
What I like most is one of the messages the author sends. I interpret it as her saying that it takes more than one trait to make a well-rounded person. I found that there are many different themes to the book and I love that because it leaves room for the readers to get their own message from the book.
